The Free Box Generator That Exports Files for Your Laser or 3D Printer
Midilli lets you build a box to exact dimensions and export a file instead of drawing every panel from scratch. The important bit is understanding material thickness, tolerances and the test cut.

There is a special kind of frustration that comes from cutting six beautiful panels and discovering that the lid is the wrong size.
Midilli's box maker is built for the bit before that happens. You enter dimensions and material information, then generate files such as SVG, G-code or STL depending on the project.
The measurement is the design
Do not start by thinking about decoration. Start with the thing that needs to fit inside the box.
Measure the object in three directions. Add room for padding, a lid, fingers and whatever mechanism you want to use. Then enter the material thickness accurately. A box designed for 3 mm material is not automatically correct for 3.2 mm plywood or acrylic.
That thickness is not a cosmetic detail. It changes the finger joints, the internal volume and whether the panels meet at all.
The file is not the finished object
Export the smallest sensible version first. Open it in your usual cutting software and inspect the joins, duplicate lines and the overall size. If the preview looks right but your machine is set to a different unit system, stop there and fix the units before cutting.
You also need to account for kerf: the material removed by the blade or laser. The generator can get you close, but your machine and material still decide how tight the fit is.
Try this first
Make a tiny open-top tray from scrap material. It is a better test than starting with a hinged box. Check that the panels are the expected size, that the corners meet and that the material is actually the thickness you entered.
